Back On Track
Last night I ate one piece of candy for every one I handed out.
I’m not exaggerating.
Now I am in the throes of the fat and sugar hangover from hell.
Time to get back on track.
I just need to keep it simple. Healthy foods, light exercise and rest. More important, I want to incorporate appreciation, happiness and love.
Appreciation for the opportunity to choose wisely; to be better and healthier.
Happiness for all the good things I do have.
Love, because it matters so much more than anything else. It is mine in abundance, and it always reminds me that those pesky five pounds still hanging on really don’t matter all that much.
So today is all about balance. Being healthy. About all things good.
I’m feeling better already.
On a completely different note, I LOVE this picture of the little turtle and strawberry. It reminds me of the time my husband took me to the zoo. It was feeding time, and we watched these two small turtles eating their vegetables. The little guys were less than a foot long, moving their heads all around and stretching their necks, sure to get every bit of their lunch.
I loved everything about that day. Loving company, and the amazing things I was lucky enough to witness.
Life is just awesome.
