Wishing Everyone A Happy Halloween

Do you have any fun, wild plans tonight?

I will be home trying to keep my pups under control, and too much candy out of my mouth, as I open the door for the kids in their cool costumes.

Purple and orange lights wind around my tree trunks in the front yard, and my pumpkins are elaborately carved and ready to go.  I wish I had some serious decorating skills, but Martha Stewart I am not.  I don’t have Martha’s vision, nor do I have her budget.  But I am happy with what I have come up with.

This day is right up there on my list of favorites.  For me, it officially kicks off the holiday season;  and seeing people, children and adults alike, dressed up and having fun, making memories, it reminds me of what life and relationships are all about.

Everyone be safe and have fun tonight.  Parents, take lots of pictures of your kids in their awesome costumes.  They will be going off to college before you know it.

I don’t think there is anything more wonderful, more important, than happy, loving memories.

Wishing everyone the Happiest Halloween.

How I Feel

I’m in love with these shorter days.

I’m also in love with the crisp bite of the air that greets me each morning.  My skin loves the feel of soft, warm clothes.  My eyes and emotions love the sight of warm fire and changing colors.

I love the smell of comfort foods.

All of it reminds me of what matters.

I feel festive,

I feel dramatic and sophisticated.

And in love with wet sidewalks and falling leaves.

I feel loved everyday,

and I cherish lazy days.

And I look forward to an amazing holiday season ahead.

I hope everyone had a wonderful October.

I hope November will be just as wonderful.
