How I Feel (On My Birthday)

I am another year older today.

It won’t be long until I am on the other side of 40.

I am almost half way through my life.

That is if I’m really lucky.

I hope I am.

I have a lot of dreams to realize, a lot of work to do.

I feel so many things on this day.

Most of all I see a long and bright future ahead.  I really believe it to be true.

 I feel overwhelmed.

I feel committed to those I love and what I have set out to do.

And I feel ambitious.

And festive.

And at the very same time I feel tired.

I feel domestic.

And important.

And I feel thankful for another year of life.

 And, on this day, I feel cherished and loved.

And I can’t wait to spend this fantastic day with Husband and my beautiful Mom.
